Update on my life.

I haven’t been posting things for a while and I don’t really know why….

  • I was in the hospital for 3 weeks over the summer for migraine treatment (at MHNI) which didn’t do a whole lot, but they gave me a perscription for torodol shots which are awesome! but I can only use them 3 times a week. but even so, my thighs are covered with a lovely looking combonation of bruises from the shots.
  • My physical therapist told me I have Joint-hypermobility-syndrome (JSH).
  • I think it might be Ether Danlos though, just a hunch because of other symptoms I have that are not present in JHS.
  • My wisdom tooth got infected, so I couldn’t eat for a while. And now I get to have my wisdom teeth out next week! yay.
  • I messed something up in my left wrist, either dislocation, sprain tendonitis or a combonation of them.

Yay medical problems.

Migraine Awareness Month Blogging Challenge #4: “Just shoot me now!”

Migraine Awareness Month Blogging Challenge #4: “Just shoot me now!”

Whats the best tip you can offer others for having some summer fun despite Migraines?
Well,  alot of the time time my motto is ‘screw it’ I know doing it (amusement park, beach, running, swimming, concert ect.) will make me regret it in the morning (or later in the day) but a girls gotta have some fun!
For when having the next day wasted isn’t an option, I’ve learned to do things the way I can do it. modifications are your best friend, and make sure the people you are with understand.
And ALWAYS have your meds!
note-i missed a couple days due to bad migraines (how ironic) but hopefully i will get back to them in the future.

so there was an awards ceremony this morning at my school, and I didn’t get anything. And i dont want to seem bitter about it because the people who got (for the most part) deserve it.  but, i feel like i deserved something. I mean i get up every fricken morning with a migraine, and still get dressed and go to school, take accelerated courses and get mostly A’s. I’m not exactly sure what else they want. Im sorry i dont do a ton of extracuriculars but by the end of the day im wiped out, and couldnt manage to stay ANOTHER hour when my head is pounding.

Sorry I’m not good enough for my school.

survived a migraine clinic yesterday. one IV and a gazzilion meds later I’m feeling a little better (13 hours of sleep may have helped that one!) :)

i got dexamethazone(a steriod), benadryl, valproate, magsulfate and reglan and occipital nerve blocks. It was a much better experience than I’m used to because they recently set up a migraine clinic so i went there instead of the ER and the people actually knew what they were doing and the lights were basically off and it was really quiet! It was as good as a hospital experience could be!
